BEST KEEPING APPLES?
Are we talking 4 weeks or 4 months? Keep in mind, apples taste best at room temperature. That’s why they taste so good off the tree.
The best apples for long term keeping (4 months or more) are the later apples (Red Delicious, Blushing Gold, Granny Smith, Winesap).
STORAGE: Put apples in black plastic bag, so light doesn’t penetrate, and in a cool place. If your are keeping them in frig add a wet paper towel for moisture. Put fresh wet paper towel in once a week.
